application done

i filled out my application today for the Unique LA Summer Show. it will take place in July in Santa Monica. i sure hope i make the cut. eek.

the last show was fun but this is a completely different venue. if i make it in i will be located outdoors so that will be a change from the last show. since it will be summer in LA i am not sure it will be nice to be outside or melting hot. we shall see...

i am experimenting with some new shrinky dink techniques and found a great new way to make earrings!

scrapbooking hole punches are a great tool for jewelry! i tried it out with this elephant design and it worked amazingly.

i am now in a mission to acquire some more adorable punches for my new line, aptly named PUNCH!

nail art: using tape

who knew tape was just a good ally when it came to doing nails? well, i guess plenty of people, but i finally jumped onto the tape bandwagon.

i just placed an order to have a custom stamp made for me of my logo for Unicorn Crafts

the artist is named Tyr and she lives in Stockholm, Sweden. i just love her attention to detail. takes a steady hand to pull something like this off.

Punch!

i took a trip to michael's today and picked up a new toy.

it's a craft punch. i think i shall use it for price tags at my next show. there were some other really neat punches but alas, i could only use one coupon per day. boo.

they really need to get rid of that policy and be more coupon friendly like joann.

Gloomy LA Day

it's sort of gloomy today so my sister and i picked some roses from our yard to add a bit of anti-gloom to our house.

unique la recap

this past weekend was Unique LA. it was my first show and i have to say it went amazingly.

loads of folks came by the Unicorn Crafts table and many of them nearly exploded from the cuteness of it all, teehee.

i even met a celebrity.

i am glad that i got a chance to partake in such a great show.
