Yaay for fans of Unicorn Crafts!

I had been aching to go to Gallery Nucleus to catch The Beatles tribute show. After day one at Renegade, I poped over. Such amazing work in this show I seriously got chills.

Brooke of The Naked Bird knew how much I loved this little hand sculpted narwhal, so she let me take him home. Sooooo sweet.

I had been looking for the perfect earring for my top earring hole forever! These are fantastic and handmade by Melody of Isobell (and she's from Oakland!)

That's a wrap Renegade!

Next show to gear up for is Hester Street Fair in Hollywood on August 25!

JULY 23, 2012 - Birthday Recap

With all the Renegade Craft Fair prep, I didn't get a chance to do a birthday celebration post. So here it is. Warning: It's a very photo heavy post :)

Tali and me with my birthday balloons. There is another balloon behind the 2 that says 8 - although I act 2 every now and then, teehee.

Macaroons...

and cupcakes!

Yummy turkey burger was had. I just got super hungry thinking about this lunch.

Yaay for Caine's Arcade...too bad he wasn't here that day. Womp womp.

Girls trip to Disneyland! My friend Liz (right next to me) and I hadn't been to Disneyland together since our high school grad night - 10 years ago!

Nom nom nom. I was the only non-waffle cone eater that day.

Wheeeeee!

Love love love this ride and all the Mary Blair art.

Oh yeah. Two bags of pure sugar.

Yes that does say "unicorn" on my R2-D2 Mickey ears. What?!

Grease Sing-A-Long at the Hollywood Bowl! Frenchy was there to open the show!

Oh yes it's ladies night and I'm feelin' right.

28 is feeling pretty good. I have big plans for this year and I am loving all the adventures coming my way.

Tali's Watertime Adventure

Tali was a little firecracker today. He went from just hanging out in the backyard to bouncing off the walls. It was pretty hilarious.

Do any other doggies do this: As soon as he gets wet from the hose while my Papa is watering the plants in the yard, he suddenly starts running around like someone lit a fire under him? In today's case, he also took liberty of rolling around in the patch of dirt in the back.

After I sprayed the dirt off of him, he ran around the house for a bit and wiped his face before tiring himself out.

Needless to say, he's soooooo entertaining and I love him dearly.

May 18, 2012 - Friday Favorites: Mermaids!

Ever since I was a little girl I have always wanted to be a mermaid. I would even swim like a mermaid when I was in the pool. One year I had a mermaid birthday party which was the best because all the gifts were mermaid related!

1. Brittney Lee is one of my favorite artists. The things that girl does is simply magical! (Source)
2. What a beautiful ring - simple but still whimsical (Source)
3. I want to make my puppy a mermaid!!! (Source)
4. This is definitely one (or 5) steps above the mermaid birthday party I had. (Source)

Mother's Day is just around the corner but there is still time to get mum something wonderful.

Don't forget to check out my Etsy shop for some great gifts that your mum will love!

1. A great twist on breakfast. Bring this to your mum in bed with some juice and a flower. She will be thrilled. (Source)

2. After breakfast, this could be a great gift to show mum how much you care. It's so pretty and elegant. (Source

3. Take mum to brunch (if she isn't too full) and have her show off her new floral dress. (Source

4. Share this message with your mum everyday. (Source

Table for One Please

Today I took myself on a date to the MOCA for the Transmission LA: AV Club show. It was filled with work inspired by music. My favorite piece was definitely Pinwheels - too cool for words really. The show was a good blend of audio and visual (hence the AV I suppose).

If you are in the area I would highly recommend seeing it before it closes.

After the museum I walked around Little Tokyo for a bit and headed to The Pie Hole for lunch. Mind you, I have never been to The Pie Hole and was reeeeeally looking forward to trying it. Alas, they were CLOSED! Boooooo. I guess I should have checked their hours of operations before heading there.

I did find food at the Novel Cafe just across the street and had a pulled bbq chicken sandwich. I am not a huge fan of bbq but I looooove pulled chicken, so I gave it a go and it was yummy in my tummy.

A lovely day to be inspired.
