Renegade LA

Let the day being!

Yaay for fans of Unicorn Crafts!

I had been aching to go to Gallery Nucleus to catch The Beatles tribute show. After day one at Renegade, I poped over. Such amazing work in this show I seriously got chills.

Brooke of The Naked Bird knew how much I loved this little hand sculpted narwhal, so she let me take him home. Sooooo sweet.

I had been looking for the perfect earring for my top earring hole forever! These are fantastic and handmade by Melody of Isobell (and she's from Oakland!)

That's a wrap Renegade!

Next show to gear up for is Hester Street Fair in Hollywood on August 25!

JULY 23, 2012 - Birthday Recap

With all the Renegade Craft Fair prep, I didn't get a chance to do a birthday celebration post. So here it is. Warning: It's a very photo heavy post :)

Tali and me with my birthday balloons. There is another balloon behind the 2 that says 8 - although I act 2 every now and then, teehee.

Macaroons...

and cupcakes!

Yummy turkey burger was had. I just got super hungry thinking about this lunch.

Yaay for Caine's Arcade...too bad he wasn't here that day. Womp womp.

Yes!

Girls trip to Disneyland! My friend Liz (right next to me) and I hadn't been to Disneyland together since our high school grad night - 10 years ago!

Nom nom nom. I was the only non-waffle cone eater that day.

Wheeeeee!

Love love love this ride and all the Mary Blair art.

Oh yeah. Two bags of pure sugar.

Yes that does say "unicorn" on my R2-D2 Mickey ears. What?!

Grease Sing-A-Long at the Hollywood Bowl! Frenchy was there to open the show!

Oh yes it's ladies night and I'm feelin' right.

28 is feeling pretty good. I have big plans for this year and I am loving all the adventures coming my way.

I'm Bringing Brooches Back

When you think of brooches does the vision of your grandmother and her BINGO team pop into your head? Not anymore!

I love the idea of wearing a brooch, it's so elegant. With the new designs that I have been working on, wearing a brooch will be oh so much fun!

Happy cupcakes in Chocolate, Strawberry, and Vanilla. Mmm Neapolitan with sparkle!

I scream. You scream. We all scream for Ice Cream!

If you haven't noticed yet, my doggie Tali is the best thing in my life. He inspired this brooch that I think captures his playfulness quite well.

Fly away with Unicorn Friend! I've been wanting to do a balloon brooch for awhile. This is one of my personal favorites.

Even though T-Rex Friend might eat you, he will still love you. Teehee.

Sweet and simple, it's Brontosaurus Friend!

All of these designs are available in my shop on Etsy. So if you're 10 or 100 (but you feel like you're a kid) then I think I have something just for you.

Blog Make-Over (Again)

For some reason, I was just not satisfied with the way my blog had been looking. What to do...redo everything! That's exactly what I am working on as I type this. (Multi-tasking!)

I am not done just yet but pretty much what you see now is what the new blog shall look like.

I am feeling good about this look; it just might stick around for a bit.

Unique LA: Local Love | Day Two

Day Two of Unique LA was pretty amazing. Here is the day in photos. I wish I could have taken some more but I was swamped most of the day (yaay!)

My neighbors The Rice Creamery. So yummy!

I reeeeally liked the display for Monstertrocity

KC and her man from Make Shop Live

MNKR has the best comfty shirts

I LOVED Richie's display too

Matt and Mario manning the Honey My Heart table

He was soooo cute. He didn't want to let my T-Rex prop go.

She went home with Unicorn Friend at the end of the show. It was his last show but fear not, I shall make another one for future shows.

Unique LA: Local Love Event | Day One

Today was the first Valentine's Day show for Unicorn Crafts. I went into this show with the mentality that it won't be crazy busy like the holidays, so just go with the flow.

That being said, it was a great day one. It was half the size of most Unique LA shows which was nice for the vendors (less people waiting for elevators) and for shoppers (not SO overwhelming).

Jella from Honey My Heart came by my booth and snapped this photo.

 Mini Prints of my artwork

 Shrinky Dink Rings!

 Shrinky Dink Brooches!

Yes, those are indeed earrings in those tiny bottles

 Happy shoppers

It was great to catch up with some of my buddies whom I usually only get to see at shows (since we are all always busy prepping for the next show).

As per usual, I had to paint my nails fancy for the show. I wanted to do something festive without being extra literal for Vday.

I hope I get to walk around a bit more tomorrow to show you some of my favorite vendors. Looking forward to day two.
